About Pausle
Pausle is a quiet corner of the internet with puzzles in it.
You have been staring at a screen. Or a spreadsheet. Or a book. Take five minutes, do something gentle with your brain, then go back to your day. That is the whole idea.
What's here
Thirteen puzzles, grouped into six kinds:
Word — Mini Crossword, Word Search, Connections, Anagram, Word Ladder and Shed, an original Pausle puzzle where you drop one letter at a time and every step has to stay a real word.
Number — Sudoku and Kakuro, each with easy, medium and hard.
Logic — Nonogram, where the numbers along the edges tell you which squares to fill in.
Spatial — Pipes: join each pair of dots and cover every square on the grid.
Knowledge — a five-question quiz, fresh each time.
Classic — FreeCell and Golf Solitaire, tap to play, no dragging.
Not sure what you fancy? Quick Pick on the home screen chooses one for you.
How it works
There is no account, no sign-up and no email address to hand over. Nothing you do here is tracked and no puzzle is locked. There are no streaks to keep, no scores to share and no reason to come back tomorrow other than wanting to.
Pausle is built to work properly on e-ink readers as well as phones, tablets and desktops — so a Kindle or Kobo gets the same puzzles, laid out to suit the screen, with no animation to smear the display.
It's a hobby project, made during lunch breaks and quiet evenings by one person, for anyone who needs five minutes of calm in their day.
Thank you for stopping by, and for spending a few of your minutes here. I hope the break did you good.
